Lake Rules

Eligible lodge owners and  guests staying in their lodge, are entitled to use the lakes free of charge. To enjoy all that the facility has to offer please abide by the following rules. Unfortunately any users found to be disregarding the rules, or participating in any anti-social behaviour, may be asked to leave the site.

 

Permits: You must bring your permit with you, if you are unable to locate a permit contact your lodge owner, or rental agent,  before attempting to enter the lakes area

 

Fishing: A current Rod Licence is required under Environment  Agency rules. Children under 13 are exempt from the rod licence requirement. A maximum of 2 rods per licence. All children under 16, whether fishing or not, are not permitted without adult supervision. Anyone who does not hold a valid fishing licence will not be permitted to fish. Licences and further information can be obtained from - https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences.

This is a CATCH AND RELEASE fishing lake. It is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE to remove fish from the site.

All fish to be returned to the same lake where they were caught at the earliest opportunity to protect stocks.

 

STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Barbed Hooks / Keep-nets / Carp Sacks / Fixed Leads - Carp safe rigs ONLY / Lures or Spinning / Fixed weights / Night Fishing - Dawn to Dusk Only / Pole Fishing

 

DO NOT: Reserve Swim Pegs / Leave Rods Unattended

 

YOU MUST: Use a minimum of 12lb BS Line / use unhooking mats at all times / use an adequately sized landing net – minimum 36” / Dip nets on arrival before fishing / Place ALL litter, redundant line, hooks, and surplus kit in bins provided or remove from site.

 

General: NO Swimming, Boating, Camping, Fires or Barbeques

Wildlife & Plants: These are extremely important to the site. Please respect the natural habitat and avoid harm or damage. 

PLEASE BE AWARE OF DEEP WATER AND TAKE ALL NECCESSARY PRECATIONS

USERS OF THE SITE DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK

There is a limited number of fishing rods/equipment available to visitors, on a "first come, first served" basis

Valid permits must be carried at all times.
